GOOFIRM - Intersection between SRHR and the prevention of GBV
On Day 4 of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, a workshop was held to focus on the critical intersection between #SRHR and the prevention of #GBV. This workshop aimed to educate participants about their rights and empower them to take action against violence.
The workshop featured presentations from health professionals, legal experts, and advocates who discussed various aspects of SRHR, including the legal framework surrounding these rights and available services.
Participants engaged in group discussions and activities that allowed them to explore scenarios related to SRHR and GBV, fostering a deeper understanding of the issues and promoting critical thinking.
Many attendees expressed feeling empowered to advocate for their own rights and the rights of others, indicating a shift towards a more proactive approach in their communities.
By educating and empowering participants, the workshop not only raised awareness but also encouraged active engagement in promoting SRHR and addressing GBV. This approach is essential for building a supportive community that prioritizes the health and rights of all individuals, ultimately contributing to a reduction in violence against women and girls.
